Terms of Use

Last updated: October 20, 2026

In short. Your courses stay yours. Cards and quizzes made by the AI can contain mistakes: review them before you study. Subscriptions go through Apple, renew automatically and are cancelled in your Apple Account settings. The free version shows an advertising banner.

1. Who publishes Encra

Encra is a study app (cards, quizzes, annotated courses, planner) published by Noé Ecoeur, Canton of Jura, Switzerland. Contact: support@encra.app.

By using Encra, you accept these terms. They complement Apple’s Standard License Agreement for apps (EULA), which also applies. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

2. Who can use Encra

Encra is made for high school and university students and is not intended for children under 13. If you are a minor, ask a parent or legal guardian before making any purchase.

Encra has no account: your access is tied to your device and your Apple Account.

3. Your content

4. Artificial intelligence

5. Plans, subscriptions and purchases

Encra comes in three plans: Free, Essential and Pro. What each includes and its price in your currency are shown in the app before any purchase.

6. Advertising

The free version shows an advertising banner on iPhone and iPad. Essential and Pro subscriptions have none. Ads are provided by Google; the publisher is not responsible for their content or for the sites they lead to.

7. Your data and backups

Encra does not keep your courses on its servers. They are on your device and, if you turn on sync, in your iCloud. Keep iCloud sync on or regularly export what matters: the publisher cannot recover data lost on your device.

8. The app

9. Liability

Encra is provided “as is”. The publisher does its best to make it work well, but does not guarantee that it will always be available, bug-free or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for indirect damages (for example an exam grade, lost time or lost data), and its total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Encra in the last twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer.

10. Apple

11. Ending use

You can stop using Encra at any time by deleting the app (and cancelling your subscription in your Apple settings). In case of a serious breach of these terms, access to online features (AI) may be suspended.

12. Changes and governing law

These terms may be updated; the new version is published on this page with its date. If you keep using Encra after a change, you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by Swiss law, subject to the mandatory rules of your country of residence that protect you as a consumer. If there is a dispute, please write to us first: support@encra.app.
